Fire on passenger train in Chapel-en-le-Frith

Firefighters from Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge and New Mills attended a fire on a passenger train on Friday afternoon.

Crews were called to the incident, at Chapel Station, shortly before 5pm. On arrival, they found the fire had been extinguished by railway staff. All passengers were evacuated and crews left the scene at 5.25pm.
